Ai Pesci

“Ai Pesci“ is a small lovely guesthouse with three separated rooms, located in the best spot in Riomaggiore, at the very edge of the town directly overlooking the harbor and with unhindered views of the sea and the sunset.
The house has been completely renovated in the first months of 2017 and now appears in all its Mediterranean charm, paired with a modern twist.
Are you wondering about its name? “Pesci” is Italian for “fishes”...and you will see plenty of them, both as a design element throughout the house and directly in the crystal clear water under your windows!

Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is one of the “Cinque Terre”, a UNESCO World Heritage Site consisting of five small and picturesque towns immersed in a beautiful National Park, with the Mediterranean sea in front and the Ligurian landscape of forests, vineyards and olive gardens in the back.
As Riomaggiore is a very small town, nothing is really too far out of reach. However, this wouldn't be the perfect location if a nice bar for breakfast and snacks, a gelato parlor, the two best restaurants in town and the pier for the Cinque Terre round trip ships weren't all located literally a few steps from our house! Additionally, the train station and many more shops and bars are about 5 minutes by foot away.

How to reach Riomaggiore

You could come to Riomaggiore (or any of the Cinque Terre towns) by car, but we strongly advise against it, as you cannot reach the center of the town anyway and parking space is really scarce...and expensive! Instead, the best way to reach Riomaggiore is by train: there is one about every 30 minutes coming either from La Spezia or from Levanto. In those towns you’ll have a choice of paid or free parking lots (the paid ones are nearer to the train station), where you can leave your car.
Further alternatives include a bus service and various ships. Of course, the most beautiful way to reach us is...by foot, wandering along the breathtaking trails of the Cinque Terre.

How to find us

From the train station, go right and walk through the tunnel. Exiting you'll see the main road on the left (this is where you'll come from if you traveled by car), but you need to continue straight ahead and take the stairs that go down another tunnel (there's a sign guiding you to the “Marina”). Walk all the way down to the harbor, then take the path on the left and go up the stairs. Simply put, always follow along the left wall of houses! After about 50 meters you'll reach a small plaza, where you can see another flight of stairs going up and back into the town. Go up there and, a few steps after entering the “tunnel” between the houses, you’ll see the green entrance door for "Ai Pesci" on the left.
If we don’t meet in person, your keys will be waiting in a “Masterlock” security box just by the door.

Be aware that there are quite a few steps to master (as everywhere in the Cinque Terre), so if possible avoid big suitcases or organize help if needed!
